Amanda Pflugrad currently serves as the reporter/host for the Boston Celtics. She conducts pre and post game interviews with both the players and coaches, delivers game recaps/analysis as well as provides daily updates from practice. Her duties also including hosting the Celtics live pregame show during every home game.
Ābdānān Last year Pflugrad was a sideline reporter for ESPN/SEC Network, covering women’s gymnastics. She also still continues her duties as an analyst/sideline reporter for the PAC-12 Network; covering college football, track and field and gymnastics.
For the 2014-2015 NFL season, Pflugrad joined the New York Jets as their team reporter and insider. She conducted sideline, locker room and post game interviews with players. She also hosted the pre game, post game and the weekly-in studio shows with Jets analysts. In addition, she conducted weekly sit-down features with the players.
She served as a sideline reporter for CBS Sports Network, covering the AVP Beach Volleyball Tour for their 2013-2014 season. Her duties included interviewing Olympic athletes, delivering live sideline updates and hosting features.
Previously, Pflugrad was the female studio host for Total College Sports in Chicago. She wrote and hosted daily sports content as well as interviewed top athletes, coaches, analysts and sports writers. Pflugrad also hosted a 30-minute sports talk show on Hulu called the 5th Quarter; breaking down college football/basketball games with analysts.
Pflugrad got her start as a reporter/host at FOX Sports Arizona. She was also a writer for Sun Devil Athletics covering the ASU women’s gymnastics team during their season. She has interviewed various athletes, including Emmitt Smith, Larry Fitzgerald, Kurt Warner, Jared Allen, Jake Plummer, Tony Hawk, Grant Hill and Vince Carter.
She delivered updates for both ASU and Boise State football during bowl week at the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas. She also had the opportunity to cover Media Day for both Oregon and Auburn during BCS week.
Her work with celebrities includes Tom Hanks, Bret Michaels, Billy Crystal, Ronnie Ortiz-Mago, Rita Wilson and Jordin Sparks. While reporting for FOX Sports Arizona, Pflugrad hosted various shows and events ranging from working for the Arizona Cardinals to appearing on the Style Showdown with Melissa Rivers. She cohosted the pre-game show for the Territorial Cup Series matchup between ASU and Arizona football.
Teaming up with Travel Channel and USA Today, she traveled across America in an RV as a travel host for a month. During this time, she not only served as a reporter but also shot, edited and produced the RV film crew’s videos.
She has served as production assistant for both ESPN and E! Entertainment. Pflugrad attended the University of Oregon, where she majored in broadcast journalism with a minor in communication studies and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Pflugrad was a cheerleader for Oregon for four years and served as captain of the University of Oregon Cheerleading Team her senior year.
